Welcome to the International Academic Magnet

Irmo Middle School is well underway in the implementation of our International Academic Magnet program for our current 7th and 8th-graders and we are also pleased to welcome a new 6th-grade class this year!
At IMS, we infuse global themes across our curriculum so students can gain a broader perspective of the world in which we live. We have launched new Algebra Readiness, STEM Systems and literacy labs that complement our foreign language offerings, and the myriad of upgrades to our state-of-the-art International Arts programs. Irmo Middle School to Display at the District Magnet Fair

A team from the International Academic Magnet at Irmo Middle School will be on hand at the district's Magnet School Fair to share information about the terrific array of programs and educational opportunities that are being offered at IMS. The fair will occur on Thursday, November 19, 2015, from 6:00pm - 7:30pm at CrossRoads Intermediate School.

The Irmo Middle School team will answer questions about how we incorporate international themes into our core curriculum, our new Algebra readiness, STEM and literacy labs, our foreign language offerings, and the myriad of upgrades to our state-of-the-art International Arts programs. We will also share information about our new 6th grade opportunity.

Please join us for this excellent opportunity for parents, students and the community to learn about the magnet programs that are being offered by Irmo Middle School, as well as other schools across the district.
