I personally welcome you to Fremont County School District #25 in Riverton, Wyoming! If you want your student to be served by dedicated, professional, passionate and caring staff members, District #25 is the place for you. Fremont County School District #25's mission is to: "EDUCATE, EMPOWER, INSPIRE." This mission is supported by expectations of staff and students to: "Demonstrate integrity, dedication, motivation, citizenship, work ethic and excellence."
It is our commitment to maximize the academic achievement of all students. The staff has been working collaboratively to establish agreed upon K-12 standards in all academic areas, instructional units of study, and common formative assessments. Every student can and must succeed!
The district is working on a number of important initiatives. In recent years District #25 had the highest student to teacher ratio in the State of Wyoming in grades K-3 at over 25 students to 1 teacher. The district made a commitment to our elementary students to improve their learning environment. We have hired additional staff and will be able to provide the classrooms needed so that we can get to a 16 to 1 ratio when we open our new Willow Creek Elementary in August 2016. We have opened Frontier Academy, an alternative high school, this year to keep our high risk students in school and to get students who have dropped out back in school to get their high school diploma. One of the needs we are also working to address is the learning gap of students when they start school. Plans are being established to develop early childhood/preschool programming to supplement the existing community programs. Fremont County School District #25 is working hard to meet the needs of all students!
"The public school is the greatest discovery made by man." Horace Mann.
My personal mission statement is, "Kids are the reason why…" Public education is a great business! I am both proud and blessed to be your superintendent!
