Popcorn Wednesdays

Popcorn Wednesdays occurs once a month at JWMS. Students and staff look forward to this day! The PAC is looking for anyone who might be interested in helping out with this event. It takes more than one person to hold a Popcorn Wednesday. Please look at the SignUpGenius page so see if you are able to help out with a day or two. Our popcorn days are the 3rd Wednesday of the month and this is a great way to be involved in the school. You will meet teachers, staff, students and other volunteers in this fun, delicious day. Thank You! PAC

Progress Reports

Progress reports will be sent home with your child on November 9th. Please review these reports and bring them with you to parent teacher conferences. Teachers will be distributing periodic grade reports throughout the school year.

Parent/Teacher Conferences

We will be hosting our first parent/teacher conferences on Thursday, November 12th, and Thursday, November 19th, from 3:30pm to 7:00pm. In an effort to best accommodate the numerous conferences on these evenings, we will designate November 12th for those whose child’s last name begins with A through M. The November 19th conference will be for those whose child’s last name begins with N through Z. We understand that you may have two children whose last names lie within both ranges or can only make one of these evenings. If this is the case, you will be welcome at either one of the conferences. Also, please remember that if neither of these conference times works for you feel free to contact your child's teacher to arrange and alternate date and time.

Weather Concern

The weather outside is beginning to turn cold and soon the snow will be upon us. Please ensure that your child wears the appropriate winter clothing to school each day. All students will be going outside during their lunch periods for approximately twenty minutes each day, unless a combination of wind chill and temperature is below zero. Students must bring their warm clothes to lunch when they go as to not disturb the other classes by going back to their lockers. Also, remember that the doors to the school open at 7:25 each day.

Winter Sports Sign Up

The sign up for winter sports is now available to all students. The sign up is electronic, on-line...
