Dear Sir,
I would like to know the status of Rs. 26, 000 Crores of subsidy announced by the outgoing UPA government for waiving out the education loan interests for the loans taken after the Year 2009.
Is the subsidy still applicable after the formation of new NDA government, if yes when can the beneficiaries get the subsidy.

Till an amount of Rs 1308.82 crore has been transferred by Canara Bank to the various Banks who will transfer this amount in the 2, 66, 999 loan account of the students. The whole process is expected to be complete by
